ABSTRCT | ¡§Slow-living¡¨ is a kind of positive living style for living with the ¡§normal¡¨ speed to get the balance between bodies and minds. In Taiwan, since 2005, the word, ¡§slow-living¡¨, related to a lot of recreation activities and commercial advertisements. Thus, we could not hard to image that people¡¦s needs and demanding. This decade, following the line of MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) opened to Tamsui in 1997 and the policy of ¡§two-day weekend¡¨ was implemented in 2001, a serious tourism impact brought into the Tamsui Old Street area. Therefore, a lot of papers and the researches, within urban planning, tourism and public policy field, dedicated to the contribution to the Tamsui tourism development and the satisfaction or the comfortable degree about the Tamsui recreation facilities. But not many papers and researches dedicated the contribution to how these scenic attractions influence people¡¦s bodies and minds. Here, we tried to apply the ¡§slow-living¡¨ and Yi-Fu Tuan¡¦s ¡§Escapism¡¨ to discuss how these attractions affect the people, who always do the slowing living exercise, here. Also, we would explain how these people slow their pace down in this area. Further, we would contribute this discussion to the urban lifestyle needed. Snowball Sampling, Participation Observation and In-depth interviews discussion would be involved in this paper. Hopefully, this paper could dedicate to the very beginning discussion about the ¡§slow-living¡¨ and could be a new, possible thinking for the city, health, and human and environment researches. |
